Venture North, a Community Development Financial Institution, assists under-resourced business owners and entrepreneurs by securing and deploying capital and technical support throughout the 10-county Northwest Michigan region that includes Leelanau.

Recently, Laura Galbraith, President of Venture North and Board Member of Leelanau Peninsula Economic Foundation (LPEF) presented to the LPEF board and Leelanau Recovery Team (LRT) the funding and development opportunities that are available to area businesses.

Six More Businesses in Leelanau County Awarded COVID Resiliency Grants

Six additional Leelanau County businesses have received grants to aid their recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic through the Regional Resiliency Program (RRP) administered by Venture North Funding and Development. The Leelanau Peninsula Economic Foundation Board partnered with Venture North by reviewing grant applications and providing recommendations.
